Day out in Hakone with Keiko

It is said that a view of Fujisan not being shrouded by clouds is rare. It was our unlucky day I guess.

Visited the Saint Exupery Museum. Le Petit Prince! HC and Alvin had no idea what it was about though.

A sulphur spring at Owakudani (meaning "Big bucket") near where we were eating our Tamago (eggs) steamed in the springs.

Another shot of Owakudani, taken when we were leaving by the Hakone Ropeway (the Japanese version of our cable cars).

My gossip buddy Keiko and I on the Train to our next destination, Kamakura.

Passing by Torii gates at Kamakura. We were too late to go see the giant Buddha statue...

... so we went to Yokohama instead by Ken Ken's van. Kasumi joined us as well.

6.36 pm in Yokohama on a winter evening seemed like 9 pm in Singapore. It was a lovely evening out though, just the 6 of us. We had dinner near the Ferris wheel, then went to take Neo Prints (they call it Pretty Puri there).

Beautiful sight of the harbour from the top of the Ferris wheel. Kasumi has a fear of heights so she did not dare to look below. Ken Ken taught us the different ways of saying "It's high!" by Japanese gals and guys. Apparently, the gals squeal (in high-pitched voices) "Takai!" and the guys rumble (in low manly voices) "Take!"

Asakusa, Disneyland and Onabe Party

The big lantern at the Torii Gate at Asakusa

In preparation for the New Year (back in December, that is)

Alvin says they are jars of wine.

Iconic Disney castle at Tokyo Disneyland.

It's a Small World, the ONLY ride we managed to get into.

Transliterated, it says "Happii Nyuu Eaa" (Happy New Year)

HC and Kenichi at the Onabe Party at Kenichi's house. They are wearing name tag stickers that Ken Ken's dad suggested, so that everyone can remember everyone else's names.

Posing by the front door. The guys are quite high by this time.

Revamp of Blog

It is really tough trying to update this blog after each trip. What I would do is to change it into a photo-blog format, which makes for easier recalling and at the same time, you can enjoy more photos and less words.
